About our School

Kiltrustan N.S is a Catholic, co-educational primary school under the patronage of Bishop Kevin Doran, Catholic Bishop of Elphin. While our school has a Catholic ethos, we welcome pupils of other faiths and those who do not have any particular religious beliefs and we encourage genuine respect and tolerance of all.

Kiltrustan N.S. is a rural school located approximately 5km from Strokestown. It has two mainstream class teachers and two part-time Special Education Teachers. There are currently 15 pupils on roll.

We cater for children from the age of four upwards, in a co-educational setting. Our school is fully inclusive and we work collaboratively with parents, pupils, board of management and staff


Our school is involved in Green Schools, Active School Flag, Discover Primary Science,  European Blue Star programme, Cumann na mBunscól, Soccer, Quizes, Bricks Club, Aistear, wide variety of project work, arts and crafts, poetry/drama, music as well as the core curriculum subjects.
